National School Choice Week in partnership with organizations and communities in all 50 states, shines a spotlight on the need for effective education options for all children.
National School Choice Week believes that parents should be empowered to choose the best educational environments for their children and supports a variety of school choice options -- from encouraging increased access to great public schools, to public charter schools, magnet schools, virtual schools, private schools, homeschooling and more.

Students who elect to pay out of pocket for their child’s tuition at an independent (private) school should receive a tax credit in the amount equal to the funds that were to be spent on that student in the private school. Time to stop supporting the perpetuation of mediocracy at the taxpayer’s expense. Free market education works – I’ve spent my life teaching in it and my children have received a much better education because of it.
